Before heading to dinner at Spice, a tapis-style restaurant, we took advantage of the three-drink tickets we had for the hotel bar. Fantastic. It essentially took $15 off of the cost of the hotel. Dinner at Spice was overpriced, but it was pretty tasty. I had a Dreamtini—pomegranate liquer, — and a Mojito, and we shared a variety of plates, including fried dumplings, chicken pesto pizza, and calamari.
When we returned from dinner, we headed to the afterparty at the Hyatt. Oh. My. Gosh. It was fantastic. DualCore, a nerdcore hip-hop group, performed.
I talked with BethLynn and Paul, two of the organizers, as well as a whole lot of other attendees. There was a lot of revelry, and we killed all the kegs.
