BIOS LEVEL is once again seeding the desktop CD images for Ubuntu’s latest release, 8.10 Intrepid Ibex. We seeded for Hardy, too. I’ll post again when we’ve got a weekly total upload!

We’ve currently capped the uploads from our server to 400 KB/s so as not to overload it, but our uploads from our home connections are serving more than 3 MB/s!

Update 2008-11-07 10:27: It’s been a little more than a week and we’ve uploaded a verifiable 100.8 GB of Ubuntu via BitTorrent. Add in the estimated 30 GB, the record of which was lost when one of the seeders lost power, and we’re at approximately 131 GB seeded for Intrepid. The highest combined transfer rate I noticed was approximately 3 MBps, one seeder alone doing 2 MBps of that! Our seed ranks sit between five and twenty.
